This course addresses the principles and practices for effective internal and external audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 19011:2011. Learners gain the necessary auditing skills through a balance of formal classroom instructions, role plays, group exercises and open forum discussions.

SAATCA Registration

This course is registered by SAATCA and meets part of the training requirements of those seeking registration as a lead auditor under the quality scheme

Prerequisite for learners

Successful completion of an ISO 9001:2015 Introduction or Implementation course (Duration: 2 days minimum)

It is advisable that learners complete the 5 day "Understanding and Implementation of ISO9001:2015" course

Learners receive a SANS ISO 9001 standard, comprehensive notes, various handouts and auditing exercises

Who should attend

Anyone involved with the implementation and auditing of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems such as:

  • Auditors that want to register with SAATCA

If you do not want to register with SAATCA you can consider doing the ISO 9001:2015 Combined Introduction and Internal Auditor course

Leaner assessment

Learners will be evaluated for participation, attendance and performance on a continual basis throughout the course

Learners are also required to pass a written exam at the end of the course (2,5 hours)

In order to qualify for a Rafiki Training Auditor/Lead auditor certificate learners need to achieve a minimum of 60% for the exam

In order to qualify for a SAATCA Auditor/Lead auditor certificate learners need to achieve a minimum of 70% for the exam.

Certification

A SAATCA Lead auditor certificate is issued to learners who achieve a minimum of 70% for the exam and passed the continual evaluation

Please note that if you do no comply with the pre-requisite requirements as required by SAATCA you can still attend the course but you will not be issued with a certificate stating that you have passed the SAATCA exam

A Rafiki Training Auditor/Lead auditor certificate is issued to learners who achieve 60 - 69% for the examination

A certificate of attendance is issued to learners who achieved less than 60% for the examination and who was not present during the duration of the course
